Totally, not what I expected. The film tugged at some heart strings and of course the selfless sacrifice brought tears to my eyes but overall, it did not bring redemption to the character that attempted murder. When I saw Marcia Gay Harden, I thought, this must be a great movie. But all I can see is a son who misunderstood his mother but in the end when he should have shown compassion, he did not. I sympathized with the mother and ended up disliking the main character. The movie was done all wrong and it is a movie that should have been an after school special with a "Supernatural" twist. 1 out of 4 (skip it)
