I was a fan of the cartoon way back when. I've been dying to watch the movie directed by Michael Bay. I usually enjoy his stunt pack, slow mo action comedies.. I think he's the American version of John Woo... Well... I really enjoyed the film. I loved how they really brought to life the transformers. The smooth transition to object to robot was really cool. man, things they can do with special effects. I thought Shia Labouf was so so funny. I haven't seen the cartoon for such a long time but when the words, "decepticon" "Optimum prime" "auto bots" "megatron", I got so excited... It was like meeting an old time friend you haven't seen in such a long time. Hubby had to calm me down. He on the other hand didn't like it as much as I but what can I say... I'm a dork. I really enjoyed it. 31/2 out of 4

Loved this movie too and I agree with your rating (guess we're both dorks!) I remember the cartoons too. Although I hear the die hard fans of the original cartoons were disappointed with this movie.
Shia was funny. I can't wait to see him in the new Indiana Jones movie in May!
i like shia too. have you seen "holes"? it's a kiddie movie, but i think you'd like it. i wasn't a huge fan of Transformers, but it was entertaining and fun.
